What is the Grit Kore Project?

The Grit Kore Project is a grassroots movement powered by coaches, mental health professionals, athletic trainers, and sports nutritionists—all united by one mission: to help young athletes grow stronger, inside and out. We believe in the power of earning grit—the daily practice of physical training and mental strength-building. Through consistent effort and guided support, kids learn to handle adversity, manage stress, and build the resilience that lasts a lifetime.

And here’s the most important part: it will be 100% free. We want to provide young athletes with access to expert-designed workouts, mindset exercises, and hockey-specific guidance—at no cost to families. Our goal is to break down barriers and make sure every kid has the tools to thrive.

Why the Grit Kore Project Exists

It started with heartbreak. After a series of tragic losses in our hockey community—and as I watched my own children begin their journey in the game—I realized something had changed. Youth sports used to be about passion, teamwork, and personal growth, led by volunteer coaches who taught the game with heart and a deep respect for what we call the Code.

Now, youth hockey feels like a business. Tryouts, rankings, private lessons, and non-stop pressure have taken over. Somewhere along the way, we’ve drifted from what sport was meant to teach: confidence, character, and grit. Kids are burning out. Parents are stressed. And the Code—the unwritten values that once made hockey great—is under threat.

Defending the Code

Not every kid can afford elite camps or private coaching. But every kid deserves a shot at the Code. That’s where Grit Kore steps in.

Through our completely free daily support—mental training, physical workouts, and hockey tips—we’re here for the kids who might otherwise be left behind. We remind them that there are people who believe in them, and who will walk beside them as they learn to Find A Way.

This is our promise. This is Grit Kore.
